They have a mass planting in front of this house. The owner has no idea of what she has growing out there.

This shot shows a few more of the roses....

p.s. did you see this rose:

whoooo! Think that's as blue as they'll get?

Those roses look a lot like Joseph's Coat but I think it's a climber so probably not.

Don't know a thing about the roses but the house is a dream. How big a yard is that?

Moose Jaw, SK(Zone 3b)

Lynn it's about 225' across by 100' deep...it used to belong to a Lawyer (Grayson) who was one of Moose Jaw's original settlers. The old carriage house is across a back alley now and in a parking lot. Wouldn't a high class restaurant be wonderful in it?? ;)
Fifth Avenue Collection owns it now. I was at the owner's parents' house and she told me to take pictures of the ex-Grayson house.

echoes I'm glad you mentioned Joseph's Coat...I have grown that one before and if I can't get the above one I'll get JC again.

Wonderful looking house Pam. Tell me, what is that I'm seeing in the front? Is it a standard something or is it a tree of pots?

It couldn't be a hybrid tea, I'm thinkin, cause they'd probably loose too many. Questions that would help - How tall? Are they a deeper color from the cool weather? Could they be Morden Sunrise? Do they GH them over winter?

Moose Jaw, SK(Zone 3b)

It's a tree of pots Liz.

I'm pretty sure it's a hybrid tea echoes...they buy out Keon's every year. I really should ask for some of the bushes this fall and try sinking them.

North Vancouver, BC(Zone 8b)

Do you have a closeup of the pot tree? What is it made of and what's in it?
I love that sort of thing.

Moose Jaw, SK(Zone 3b)

I'll get one for you. :)

Where is the rose expert? Thought she would have looked in by now.

Moose Jaw, SK(Zone 3b)

She's hiding out in other forums...if she doesn't drop by soon I'll post it in the rose forum.

That's lovely Pam, I wonder where they got it or if it's custom made? It's really going to be something else when it completely fills in.

North Vancouver, BC(Zone 8b)

How tall and wide is it?

Moose Jaw, SK(Zone 3b)

Don't know....I'll go measure it.

North Vancouver, BC(Zone 8b)

You are so nice Pam. Please don't go measure it, you've already been so helpful. And the lady who lives there might have you arrested for stalking her planters. LOL

North Vancouver, BC(Zone 8b)

I have found them, now waiting to hear if they ship here or have a distributor up here.
Thanks Pam

That's great! :) The larger tree, that your link shows, is in a small town about an hour away. One lady, that I work at Reference Desk with, used to live there and says it looks fantastic with the flowers cascading down.

North Vancouver, BC(Zone 8b)

I'll bet it's gorgeous.

North Vancouver, BC(Zone 8a)

No, I am definitely here in Canada........silly me.......I was away for a week down South and came back sick with Pleurisy. much better now! I firstly thought the rose to be "Joseph's Coat", then maybe, "Pinata", a short climber, more of a tall shrub, as the yellow in the centre is similar to Pinata, more so than the JC .........we'll keep on trekkin'...glad to be back........Elaine

Moose Jaw, SK(Zone 3b)

Thank you Elaine...I'll keep an eye open for "Pinata"!

p.s. I want to thank you BC'ers for sending such marvelous HUGE cherries out to the prairies...they are so, soo, sooo very yummy this year! :)
