When I came home from school today, I immediately noticed that the bunny cage was empty!
OH NO... we have 5 dogs running around, and if she had gotten in the dog's yard, she would have not survived, I'm sure.
I went out in the yard and started yelling for her. Normally she responds to her name really well, but that is when she is in her cage or on the leash in the yard.
I propped open the cage door, and hoped she'd get thirsty and hop back in for a drink. :-(
Off and on for the next hour or so I kept going out and walking around looking for her, yelling for her. I decided that I would go out and take a few pictures... and of course yelled for the bunny when I went out. I was taking a picture of one of the daylilies and catch a white flash going by the other side of the fence. I went to the gate and got on the other side and called her name. She stopped, looked at me, then hopped into my hosta.
I got on my hands and knees, and called for her. She hopped towards me, when something else caught her eye and she stopped to munch on whatever it was. (not my hosta) so, I stood up, walked to her, bent down and picked her up... back in the cage she went, and immediately took a drink and then started cleaning herself.... I'm sure she knew where she was the whole time! But, I think I'm going to padlock her cage!
