I found three hibiscus plants with some sort of bug damage, only the hibiscus plants were hit and I have several more that were not bothered. Any idea what this is and what should I do about it?? Will it spread to my other plants and should I spray them too?? I have been alternating using the hydrogen peroxide or alcohol and water/soap and what ever this is must like it. TIA!!
What to do????
Sherry, I found a little green worm that was eating mine and Japanese Beetles love them also.
Do you have grasshoppers? They can do a lot of damage fast too. I'd probably spray with BT if you can't find the critter. If it is a worm, he will not do it much longer. Grasshoppers are a different story. I bought Praying Mantis egg sacks this year in hopes that they will keep the bug population down for me. We have tons of box elder and Asian lady bugs that I'd like to get rid of and with the appetite of the PM, they should get rid of a lot of them.
Thanks!!!!! I used liquid Sevin and I have not seen a single critter, except mosquitoes and a few 'house' flies and a bazillion bees. I cannot figure out why it's only on the hibiscus, but that is lots better than all the plants having it. We have grasshoppers but I haven't seen any. I have Avid, should I use it???? What is BT, I know it's something I should know but I don't. Thanks again...
