Gardiner, ME(Zone 5a)

Does anyone know where I can purchase some nice seeds for Day Lilies ,especially ruffled ones ?

I would like to find a reputable source.I have searched but maybe not in the right places yet.
Thanks,

It's not the best time of year for daylily seeds... Fresh seeds will be abundant in fall. The lily auction always has some great crosses if you can get them at a reasonable price.

Hi Sue,
You know after I posted this I thought about the same thing, but thought oh well what the heck....other states have DL bloom already and they might be starting to sell them.
So You think the DL auction is where I should look first ? and what is a good price ...a Newbie wants to know hahaha.....

Well... prices will vary depending on the parentage. The hot new hybrid seeds can be be pretty expensive. I've seen 5 seeds go over $20 easy. But... you should be able to get some decent crosses that will put out interesting babies for a few bucks. With auctions I try decide what I would be willing to pay and just bid my max. If I win... good. If I don't - Oh well. It's easy to get caught up in a bidding war and most the time you'll end up paying too much. You'll prolly find the best selection of seeds at the auction.

Thanks Sue for your Help and Information on pricing. That is a good Start,
Brigitte
