Ever since my husband's cat was euthanized in June of last year I have been looking for another cat he could bond with. He and BlackJack were the best of friends. I wanted to get him another black cat that could possibly be BJ reincarnated. I believe our pets can come back to us eventually.
We looked at Pet'sMart at a Black kitten for a long time. The adoption lady just ignored us, so I told Bob that Jack had other plans for us.
When I took Stormy for her treatment for mange our vet had two black kittens there for adoption. I only wanted one, but the receptionist thought they might be better off going to a new home together since they were so dependant on one another. She said they took the male out of the cage and brought him behind the counter. The female started crying and he ran back into the cage to be with her. How sweet!
The male looked and acted like BlackJack and I just couldn't separate them. So we now have two kittens.
I had forgotten, but when we adopted BJ 10 years ago, he had a sister named Juliet. He was Romeo at the time, we changed his name to BlackJack. He was five years old and they had spent that time together since birth. We didn't see Juliet as she was not brought to the adoption center. So we took BJ home with us. Bob reminded me that BJ had a sister the first time around. I think this time he wanted to make sure she lived with him.
I am sure some think I am nuts thinking that they can come back to live another life with us, but that is what I feel.
They look identical at first glance so I looked to see a difference. Mouse, the female has one long white whisker and her guard hairs in her ears are grayish/white. Jackson, the male's are all black. They both have a few white hairs on their chest. Both have scraped off skin on their noses from a cage.
They were found in a sotrage shed at a horse farm and brought to the vet's to find homes.
They are both as cute as a button and as different in temperament as night and day. The female is so shy she curls into a fetal position tail tucked all the way into her belly! She is coming around though.
