bugs on brug

I have my plants outside and getting some holes in the leaves just checked them again and found something i think might be mealybugs. just a guess have been trying to keep them away from my clematis. also found a cluster of yellow eggs on underside of leaf of brug. any help or solitions anyone? thanks one and all. dixie

Mealy bugs are white and cottony looking and you probably won't see them move. Yellow eggs under the leaf sounds more like a butterfly of some kind or even box elder bugs. There are several things it could be. If the eggs are hatching out, you could have small worms on there that aren't very noticeable. They are generally on the under sides of the leaves.....but I'm no expert so maybe someone else will have a better idea.
