Just love this new camera! As my brother says.."Any Moron can take a decent picture with these digital cameras"...and I was feeling so proud....

*mean bro* I have a couple like that as well. BUT... not every moron can take a beautiful butterfly picture as they never sit still long enough! Great capture.

Tha's a very nice picture. I didn't realize they nectared at ageratum.

I hope I see many more pictures to come!

CaptMicha... yep they sure do although I seem to find the skippers at the ageratrum more so than the swallowtails.

I think the smaller butterflies usually go for annuals. I notice most of the larger butterflies at the perennials, I wonder if they hold more nectar or something. Golgi- would you like some 'Cinderella' swamp milkweed seeds for sase for your butterflies? Any one else is welcome to the offer also.

Ohyes!CaptMicha,I would love some seeds. I have Asclepias tuberosa(the orange one) and "Cinderella" would be great with it. I'll save the seeds from mine if you would like some.

That's an excellent photo, and your brother is wrong. While the camera and the lens contribute greatly to the quality of a photo, it's the photographer who is the final factor in whether a photo is good, great or just average. You've given us an excellent photo of that swallowtail. Thanks.
