I have lots of wild strawberry plants in my yard. They are quite small. If it is the type that you want, I would be happy to send you some. .

Western, WI(Zone 4a)

Me too!! How many do you wish? Trade or postage?

I would prefer trade, if you don't mind.

wow. those are all over my yard at home (i'm at a friend's house in indiana right now...).. they're pretty much a weed, actually
if you dont mind me asking... what could you possibly want them for?

I think the ones in my yard are different from those in the photo. These only make very small strawberries about the size of the end of my little finger.

Do you mean alpine strawberries? Not all wild strawberries are edible, like Indian Strawberries for example.

Longview, TX

Miss Kitty, I need them for attracting certain birds to my yard.

CaptMicha, no they arent alpines. However Id like to have them too. Do you have alpines?

(Zone 4b)

I have alpines!!! Culinary delite!!!!But Im not sharing they dont make runners so theyre best from seed.

I have one plant from seed, it's Fragaria vesca, 'Improved Rugen'. The little strawberries are VERY sweet and tasty, you might fight the birds for some! You can have it for postge since it's a small plant.

And if you're just looking for strawberries for birds, I'd suggest the indian strawberries since birds don't seem to have a taste prefence. I'm pretty sure I have a bunch of these strawberries also.
