We once owned Yoshi, a Duskie Lorrie. He was a very sweet bird, and very playful. We traded him, with regret, to a person wanting to mate him with their female bird. It seems all is well, and Yoshi is a happy parent. We have recently lost all contact with the person, but assume every thing is OK.. We worry about these things just like we would one of our children leaving home.
