Here are a couple of my nanners...
Foreground Royal Lavender (ornamental)
Background Musella lasiocarpa
The Royal Lavender bloomed several times for me last year when it was planted in the ground. I don't know if it will do so this year as I had to dig it up to bring to the new place.
I'm still waiting for the Musella to bloom. I've had it three years and the frost/freeze has gotten it each time. Hoping that now it is in a pot I will finally get to see it bloom.
For Rootdoc
Oh Trish don't encourage him. He will be there in a day or so trying to steal them. lol They look great. Looks like you are getting settled in just fine.
Thank You!!! I love them, they look great!! And the Cleome,I am going to spread my Cleome seed to the back this year. What is in the pot behind the Nanas?
They look really healthy Trish! Hope you get to see the musella bloom. I saw one blooming in Missouri and it was so pretty.
I keep looking at them and I love them both!! I am going to have to bring two pots for this garden raid!
Root, didn't i sent you a Chinese Yellow nanner?
You sent two,I just can't resist garden raids!LOL!
Oh and Shhhh or these girls will be raiding my garden!LOL!
*LOL* Exactly Root!!
Both of these nanners have pups.
Calla, do you still have the little dwarf I sent you via Ruth Ann? I did manage to dig up a pup off the mother plant and it is doing great, just not sure if I want to plant it in the ground or not.
Here is a picture from last year of the Royal Lavender bloom
oh forgot... in the pot behind the nanners is my Pereskia grandifolia. I just ordered Pereskia bleo and can't wait to see that as the blooms are orangish yellowish pink versus the light pink of the grandifolia.
Wow Trish...I just happed on this! That nanna bloom is outstanding!
My dwarf nanner didn't survive the move, but I found one down here. My pereskia survived though and it's blooming!!! I love it! Thank you!
Cala.. when I get this new pereskia and you come and rescue these heliconias I'll give you a piece of it too.
Looking just great Ms Munché! I hop ei do no tget thenana bug. I have one that is about 12 feet tall and almost as wide! All my yard can take.
Kell, I have a Super Dwarf Novak that gets to be less than 5'. It is a nice stocky little plant whose leaves do not tear and if grown in the right conditions well have edible fruit.
