Moose Jaw, SK(Zone 3b)

How do you overwinter your EE's Badseed?

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

I tried something new last year and let the cat use the pots as litter boxes. ICK! I think I dumped and repotted them three times. Umm, really, I didn't let the cat do it, she has cattitude! I ended up just letting them go dormant and I was shocked when they started coming up. I was sure they were gonners. The brugs were not so lucky. I lost most of them. I just brought them all into a corner of the basement, only watered about twice through the winter and kept them under fluorescent lights.

Thank you Michelle...I'm going to get a couple this summer and wondered *how* I was going to do it! ;)

Ewing, KY(Zone 6a)

They look great Chele.

Foley, AL

you might want to clip the ears back of the ones that are weeping over....that will help the roots and develop new growth... .. clip down an inch above where the new leaf is coming. like stress cutting...

root or michelle what is melanga I might want one...

ely..

Thank you Mitjo! I hope when my girls get older, they get into plants like you and Evert. Right now they like a lot of plants but aren't really into growing them as much as they are admiring them. LOL And if I could get them to pull weeds..... Well, maybe someday. ;)

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

Chele, your plants look great. I'm trying to interest Lauren in plants. She likes to look at them and will help water the garden, but she refuses to pull weeds!

I am so impressed. Looks like ear heaven!

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Great looking ears Michele. I'll try to remember to take a picture of what I thought was Melanga. I bought the tubers at an oriental market in Des Moines, but have been told they aren't melanga. Oh well, they are growing and looking good, so they stay, but maybe someone can tell me what they really are.

Panhandle, FL(Zone 8a)

Looks so nice Badseed......you have more than I do!!! Now that is just plain embarrasing. If I find any different ones in my yard, will send you some....
As for moving your pond, maybe the girls would just like a big pile of dirt and a big hole to play in!
