I took this photo this morning of my Dbl. white brug...it had all kinds of things in the background that didn't do much for the photo. Some time spent on photoshop and it has turned into a presentable picture....
I just love photoshop & photography & brugs!!!
Love what I can do with Photoshop...
Nice picture Margie. You are having great luck with this brug. It didn't like our summers here. The mites would devour it in no time.
Thank you Shirley...I have dozens of photos of this bloom alone! It is so pretty, I just cannot stop looking at it and taking photos of it!!
Imagine when I get a second plant in bloom!!!
Actually I have many new daylilies this year...so I spend hours a day taking pictures!!
Sorry the bugs like yours so much!
I guess it is good to have one that the mites like the best. That way they will leave the others alone. Do you put pictures of your daylilies on the lily forum? I'll have to go look if you do. A wonderful guy from Daves just shared his lilies with me. I now have 35 new named lilies. I'm so happy to get them and so thankful I have such good friends willing to go to all the work to dig, clean, and pack to send. It is a lot of work and he is so special for doing this for me.
Very pretty! I love blurbing out annoying backgrounds too! I really need to get myself more used to PhotoShop - I haven't really spent the time I need to get used to the program. I know if I did it would benefit me.
Shirley...I don't think I have many photos on DG daylily forum...I am mostly on tinkers for DL's...I have about 170 DL's since 2002! Really don't need anymore, but will be going to both the National AHS meeting in St. Louis next week and the Regional in S. CA the following week, so I have a feeling I may be adding more!
Right now I am low on clumps...I have given many away to family and donations...but when they grow again I will talk to you and see what you have & if you would like some.
I know what you mean about the special people that give of their plants...Cal. Sue has given me so many daylilies and really started me heavy on my addiction to them! She is a good friend now and will be going to the conventions with me. I have met so many wonderful people through the forums and our mutual love of flowers!
Thank you again for all your help and comments. BTW...I just finished potting up all of my 4" container sdlgs into one gallon containers!
Now off to the waterslides for the afternoon with my friend!
Margie
Karrie...I took about 6 months worth of classes at my community college on Photoshop...there is so much to learn...even with the classes & about 6 text type books, I still don't even use a fraction of what is available in it!! Good luck!!
Margie
Such a beautiful bloom! Good job....
Margie, your double white photo is great, I love the way it stands out, with that sorta aura that kinda wraps around it and the hint of the background in the top of the photo, very nice work!!!
Yes - I've heard that Photo Shop offers TONS of uses. I've never been one to go to school to learn software, and won't for that one, because it wouldn't be a good financial or time decision for me. I just need to crack down on myself and learn it, as it is loaded on the computer. The "layering" thing confuses me, and I exit out of it all the time, lol!
Photoshop is a very powerful and complex photo editing software program. It enables one to "create" new pictures or touch-up older ones. I especially like that you used a very dark background that really made your white Brug "pop-out" of the picture! Great job!!
Thank you Shirley...actually I extracted the white flower and then put a layer of black under it and erased the black layer...to show the original photo underneath! or should I say, the parts of it I wanted to show.
I just love all the things that you can do with it!
Beautiful pic.
