Beautiful! Which pond is it in? The old one or the new one? Got a back ache yet???

LOL It is in one of those big buckets with the rope handles sitting inside the old pond. I am still digging the deep part of the new one. Back ache? hehehe I'd never admit to it! LOL I never did go for the backhoe but I did start cheating yesterday and am using the tiller to loosen the dirt. :)

Nice, Badseed! Is that the native American one?

I've been wating lotus, so started some seeds ~ twenty of them and they all sprouted. Yikes!

Hey Wingnut! This is a Nelumbo lutea also referred to as Wild or American lotus. The pink one didn't do well for me. :( The pale color on this is really nice.

Yes, it is! Such a pretty butter yellow! I started some seeds of that one a few years ago, but unbeknownst to me, my tank had a hole in it and I lost them before they bloomed. *WAH!!!* This year, I started seeds from dried pods from the craft store. Don't know what color they'll be. But I hope atleast some of them are the natives like yours.

That is REALLY nice, Badseed!
