Being my first time growing brugs, I am a little confused about the Y thing. Does that mean if the brug does not have a Y it will not bloom? I have 7 small brugs planted right now, and the only one with buds on it is the one with the Y.
Is that how it works?

Generally that is how it works, however, I have had a plant or two from cuttings that were part of the Y, but with no visible Y showing, that had a bud or two on them and have bloomed. They then went on to make Y's and bud more.
