Horses Part 2

Gulfport, MS(Zone 8a)

I read your post this am. I was just about done typing my response and the phone rang.
Anyway, I decided against the lunge line. I've got one call in to a trainer. He charges 450/mth. Someone recommended him to me. He wont be able to take Tina on until the first of August. His stables are full and wont have room for her until then. I also looked on the internet and have a few more to call.
I want to do everything so right, but not knowing anything about this, either im going to get hurt or the horses will.
I'm in the process of trying to schedule an appt with the trainer for a meet and greet.
Laurie, I really do want to stress Thank You for all of your wisdom and knowledge. Maybe I'm as hardheaded as the filly and just dont have the knowhow to be able to become the "leader of the pack" with her.
Also, I may not really be in to this all as much as i thought. They were kind of thrown on me. But thats not really fair, because i really do enjoy them. I'm trying to figure out an analogy that would fit.
Maybe im looking for instant gratification, and i'm not getting it. Being a horse owner sounds wonderous, joyful etc, but feeling like im illiterate in my horse knowledge is very frightening.
I'll keep you posted about my luck with finding a trainer.
