I asked Gretchen if I could post this. It's her recipe, but turned into a concentrate, so you aren't doing all those measurements everytime you make it. I put it in several volumes, so you could use it depending on how many you feed and how often. I'm not real sure, but I think this suspension should be able to hold for at least 6 months. I know having a concentrate of this available would help save me alot of time later.
Here goes:
Gretchen Kaufmann’s Brugmansia Tea Concentrate
(After making concentrate, you use ¼ cup per Gallon of Water)
Approx 1 pint Concentrate:
½ cup Liquid Kelp
½ cup Hydrogen Peroxide
1 cup Agricultural Molasses
1 Tablespoon Super Thrive
1/16th teaspoon pure Tea Tree Oil
1 pint of this concentrate will make 8 gallons of tea.
Approx 1 quart Concentrate:
1 cup Liquid Kelp
1 cup Hydrogen Peroxide
2 cups Agricultural Molasses
2 Tablespoons Super Thrive
1/8th teaspoon pure Tea Tree Oil
1 quart of this concentrate will make 16 gallons of tea.
Approx ½ gallon Concentrate:
2 cups Liquid Kelp
2 cups Hydrogen Peroxide
4 cups Agricultural Molasses
¼ cup Super Thrive
1/4th teaspoon pure Tea Tree Oil
One half gallon of this concentrate will make 32 gallons of tea
Approx 1 gallon Concentrate:
4 cups Liquid Kelp
4 cups Hydrogen Peroxide
8 cups Agricultural Molasses
½ cup Super Thrive
½ teaspoon pure Tea Tree Oil
One gallon of this concentrate will make 64 gallons of tea.

Margie: you should be able to get horticultural molasses at any organic gardening center. As for the tea tree oil (anti-fungal), I buy it at a health food store, but you can get it at Wal-Mart, I believe.
So how much of the concentrate would you use per gallon?
poppysue...it says above 1/4 cup of concentrate per gallon!
Oh - Duh!
Thanks :-)
Is this meant to be sprayed as a foliar feed or watered in? Or both?
I use it as a foliar feed when I have time, and when I don't I use a watering can and water it in. Its a great soil conditioner!
Yes, I get the tea tree oil at WalMart for under $4.00.
Where do you get liquid Kelp though?

I buy liquid seaweed at an organic gardening center:

I get the liquid kelp at a local garden center (NW Seed & Pet) it's in the houseplant fertilizer section here. Mine is called "Seaweed Extract".

About how much of the "made tea" should I be using when I just water it into the soil, and how often? I'm beginning to wonder if I'm over-doing it!
Same amount...
I don't think you can overdo it! I use it or Hasta Grow everytime I water! That's what's so nice about organic stuff :)
I cannot find the kelp or liquid/even powdered seaweed here.
Pet Store had a tiny dried piece of seaweed for $4+....
Gretchen your Hyperlink doesn't work for me.
Gloria, You can buy the powdered soluble seaweed online
If you want to purchase as much as 25 lbs. of it, you can get it for $150 with free shipping, it will make lots and lots of liquid seaweed.

OK - I've been feeding each of my Brugs close to 1/2 a gallon of the tea, once a week. Then I water all of the other days (they are in pots and need it).
Here's a different page for their site. Maybe it'll work:

Karrie: I'm sure that's fine. We all have to do what works for us, our climate, conditions, etc. :)
