My "unknown" has found its name!!!

Decatur, IN(Zone 5a)

FYI, for anyone I have shared a cutting of my "unknown" hoya with....please read. I have shared with several friends that I met on GW & Ebay so now I can't remember exactly who I sent a cutting to so if you got a cutting of a Hoya I purchased from B. Smoley's wrongly labeled H. cinamomifolia, I've now got its correct name. I'm including the picture of the bloom (its highly fragrant). I sent several blooms and photos of the mother plant to an expert for a proper ID and the verdict is in.

Anyhow, you may now label your Hoya pottsii.

Well, I apologize in advance for the lousy scan. I tried to scan the photo which is much clearer but it scanned blurry.

Gemila, thanks from me also. Are the two names then synonyms? Or should it read, H. pottsii v. cinamomifolia?

Now I must find mine and change the name, it is a georgous flower, that will make a big splash at the HG. Norma

Im not changing the name yet. I have both plants, I also have information from a expert he didn't say he was, I'm calling him that, saying that they are two different plants. What is one to belive, I also have pictures of flowers of both plants claimed to be the correct one for each species.
Both flowers are different, even in color. Now what I am to believe? I'll wait. Norma

H. pottsii and H. cinnamomifolia are quite different species, Norma. Trust me. Gemila said she ordered H. cinnamomifolia from a nursery and was sent the wrong/different/not the right one.

I trust you, and agree, that is why I'm not changing my names on my plants yet. I looked it up and again I find two different pictures of two different plants, that have two different flowers. Hoya the Species I know and Love . I love the flowers of Gemila's plant.

I still thrilled to get any information that is correct and I can check it out myself. I've learned not to trust any label. That was good advise that was given to me two years ago. Norma
