Help about boil eggs

Today my first time quail eggs that I let boil about 10 minutes and it crack egg so I am trying to keep from not crack boiling the eggs so how long should I let them boil? Also how to make pickled eggs which, I want something simple to make.
Hope anyone will tell me about this so, I can start to put eggs to make pickled as soon get hear from anyone of you... Thank You!
