i went to a gardening class today in my state capital and met a lady who lives close by to me. she has three brugs that are well rooted.
she has been evicted and only has a few days tto move. building was condemned. not spelled right.
if she transplants these brugs will they survive or die??
i know the little ones take wilt badly when moved so is it the same for the big ones. they are about 3 ft high. i plan to go help her move them tommorow if i feel up to it if not i will help with the driving.
she has only these three and they are pretty right now from what i saw today. hate for her to lose them.
no flower buds or anything on them if this makes a difference.
either way we are going to try but need to know the best way to do this. thanks Marie
help please
I have never done that, but seems to me that it would probably work if you get enough of the roots. I'm basing my opinion on seeing and hearing what many of the experts do with regard to repotting, trimming the roots, etc. I would say the biggest downside is that this is the wrong time of year to perform this task, but what has she to lose at this point? Very nice of you to help her out, Marie! PS -- did you get the seeds? They went out in Saturday's mail, so you should have them shortly, if not already. Gretchen
Dig up as much of the roots as possible. They might wilt a little and drop some leaves but I bet transplanting will hardly phase them. They're pretty tough... and they'll recover fine.
