i have a scotts spreader for fertilizer and stuff and i have a lime bag. the lime bag says 100to a 1000 square foot. okay the bag doesnt say anything to set the preader on.
what would you set the spreader on??? thanks

You set the spreader on the lowest setting and do the 100 square foot area. You may have to make several swipes with the spreader. There is no way to figure exactly what setting to put the spreader on because they are all different. The main thing is that you put the entire amount on that's specified. Its best to do the first swipe all in one direction and then go back and do the next swipe in a perpindicular direction to assure addequate coverage. If you have a 1000 square foot yard, you know you should get the entire yard covered with that bag. Sorry, I don't explain things very well...
