I can't stand it when my computer is down. I had two days a while back that just about killed me. I love keeping in contact with friends and family through emails and of course, few of them knew I had problems. They probably thought I was in a snit or something. LOL! When my modem went out a few months ago, I couldn't wait for the company to send me one....I ran out and bought one locally. Still have the new one sitting on a shelf. I'm addicted to my computer and I'll readily admit it. It would be harder to go without the computer than all my brugs. I'm glad you are back. Bet things are looking tropical at your house since your last posting.

Yukon, OK(Zone 7b)

A snit??? You Shirley? No way anyone would ever think that! You're a sweetheart in my book!

Nice to see you again Kristi....I know the frustration of not being able to get on DG. Post up some of those tropical pics! (Please)

Medford, NJ(Zone 6b)

You know, I don't know what the problem was. I could get on DG and read. I just couldn't post anything. Was making me crazy. All these beautiful plants and I couldn't comment about them. Nice to be back. Here are two pictures from my yard tonight.

Butterfly
Kell, this is the one you sent me last summer.

First large flush of the season. It was loaded with blooms until HOT and windy weather on Friday fried them. Had me wondering WHY I grow these plants.

Rosamond Just opened. Susie sent me this last summer. I'll take a better picture of it in the morning. Only one side of the plant is blooming. Never had that happen. I pruned it to be a standard. It's about 7 feet tall. I bet it will be breath taking when the whole thing is in bloom.

Yeah!! Kristi is back!!!
I am glad you could at least Lurk, that must be frustrating.
I am glad you put the Rosamond picture up,I have one budding, and I have never even seen a picture of the bloom.Looks like a keeper!

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Brinda....you don't know my family. They get upset if they don't hear from me and even tho they know my flowers take a lot of my time, I'm supposed to stop and write. I do....most of the time. LOL!

Wow Kristi...your Butterfly is so pretty. Don't you just love the fragrance from that one? Rosamond is a beaut too. There is something missing though............................................no holes in the leaves!! Sure makes for a beautiful picture.

Kristi,I sure am glad to see you posting,I have been thinking about you,I have a sport on Maya,it has no color to it,it looks Neon in the evening light, should I pull it off? or hope it gets a little color?

What's with these Maya's throwing so many sports? Wish Butterfly would throw a variegated sport. LOL!

Medford, NJ(Zone 6b)

Thanks Root & Shirley! Root Rosamond is suppose to get darker. I'll take a picture today. It was just about dark when I took that shot, plus my hand got in the way of the flash.
Shirley Butterfly was on the toss list this season if it didn't perform. Last season it did nothing for me. Blooms were very light and it didn't bloom until right before the first frost. I'm so glad it's doing well this year. I didn't notice much of a fragrance, maybe a light one. My sniffer might be broke though-allergies LOL....
Root, my sport is all white now too. I don't care for the look of it. It is growing but I doubt it would live on it's own. Leave your sport and see if it has some green.
