Hen won!!!

Other days ago, at night, We came home as we pulled in. We saw our dog Teddy was barking under Dh's long pull trailer.

I said oh no he was trying to chase or eat the eggs. We ran and made him stop. So next day, I was feeding the hen and baby chicks.. The other hen won't come out cause she still sitting on eggs.. (They should hatch any time by now).

So I decided to check it out. I looked down through the trailer.. OH MY.. It was the large snake. I yelled for Dh and he came with a shovel. He checked and noticed the hen was sitting quietly but the snake won't move. He checked and said the Snake's DEAD! He removed it and it was cottonmouth or chicken snake either. We couldnt tell cause the snake's head was messed up! That Hen must be very angry and fought that snake off! Glad the hen is alright also the eggs.. Goodbye Snake! He got rid of it so the ants won't come over the dead and the eggs. It was very next to the eggs. he removed it.

So tonight, we are going to move hen and eggs in the safe pen that we just move other in large pen. They are growing pretty younger chicks. They look much like their father!
