Mine aren't blooming yet but one is about 3 foot tall. I believe its name is Pumpkin Gold. Jenny

Lookin' good! Have never heard that name for a brug.
See a canna, also?
I bought it at a nursery in Jasper. One of the ladies who works there has tons of brugs. I believe it came from her stock. Next time I go over there I will ask about it and be sure that was the correct name. Yes, a tropicanna that the bugs have really feasted on this year. I have been spraying it with the Palmolive, alcohol mixture but it hasn't really helped. Thanks, Jenny
Everything looks great. I love the caladiums. Mine are just beginning to leaf out. I have also not heard of Pumpkin Gold. May be another one I'd like to try sometime.
Those are some of the caladiums from the coop thanks to "Eyes". They are just really taking off.
Guess I hit send twice. Sorry

Guess it helps to live in a warmer climate than Iowa, especially for the tropical flowers. I got over 200 of them. Ended up having to give some away because I ran out of room to plant them.
I have the room. We have about an acre and a half in the yard. Then we have at least a hundred acres in pasture and that much more leased that we run cows and grow hay.
Oh, I have the room just not the beds. We live on almost three acres, but I didn't have time nor do I want anymore beds to take care of.
Brugie, I'm in the same boat. I have the room, but not the time or energy. I have so much now and don't really give all the care that they need. BTW a brug question for you. Can you move one that is planted in a spot where it is not doing so well? I planted my first one last year and it came back, but it is not growing very well and the bugs are having a feast. The one in the picture was just so small a month ago and is already making great progress plus it isn't having so many bug problems (the dish soap, miracle gro, peroxide or alcohol spray works on it). I keep thinking I need to just move my original brug to a sunnier spot. Advise please! Thanks, Jenny
Sure, you can move it. It might set it back a bit, but if it isn't doing well where it is, a little set back might not be that big of a deal. It might be good for it to be root pruned a little anyway. Good luck. You might be looking at a hard job unless you have some great soil to work with.
Hi Jenny, I see you live in Texas and in a very pretty area. It has been many years since I have been there but I know that I really liked the area.
You will have blooms before you know it. You have certainly come to the right place to ask questions. There are experienced growers that are always glad to help.
