Happy Father's Day Everyone.
A surprise set of ram lambs were born here yesterday. They are pretty funny looking. A jet black one with a large white marking on his forehead and his brother is white with black markings around his eyes. They were tiny when born. and the mother decided to give birth on a steep hill. Even though tiny the white more vigorous one was already taunting his brother trying to get him to jump and play by afternoon. I moved them closer to the house where I could watch them But, they have a good mother and they all are fine.
The ferrier was here Friday. I took the day off to help him in pouring rain. We kept dry in the barn , but the corral is outside. They are all such gentle animals and didn't put up a fight. Even the big old mare, she looks like a gentle giant next to my old ponies was a good girl. This old mare came here with a pretty sore ankle. The swelling is down now and I may go riding today.
Mowed the yard most of yesterday. My mowers have been broke so bought a cheap push mower til they are fixed. It's good exercise I have to admit.
My daylilies are in full bloom and simply beautiful. I had my best friend over to look at them , then kidnapped her and went shopping for more. She came home with lots more than I did. I always know that eventually she will share them with me.
Our oldest daughter is taking us out for breakfast this morning for Father's Day. That will be nice.
May you all have a blessed day.
