Cedar Key, FL(Zone 9a)

Here's my Arborea blooming again
I had mixed feelings about this shot but figured its a good shot for the newbies

Theres a flower about to open, one open, one faded
and a pod
a very sad pod that was attacked by my peacocks
but I want those seeds soooo bad,who cares what the pod looks like....LOL

I'd take some Peacock pecked Arbo seeds,it is my favorite Brug!!
I like this pic,it does show all times of bloom.

Denver, CO(Zone 5b)

Great shot of all the stages!

Tonasket, WA(Zone 5a)

Yes good show to show the stages and your seed pod is hilarious. Hope the seeds ripen. Donna

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Good picture. How long has that pod been hanging there?

Cedar Key, FL(Zone 9a)

Must be the end of March...
here's the link from when I first saw it

Its when I got all confused about that one strange plant I've got....don't know if its a sang, flava or something even normal....LOL

Kannapolis, NC(Zone 7b)

Great pics, CC. The poor seed pod looks like it's had a tough time. LOL

Auburn, WA(Zone 8b)

Thanks so much for posting the picture. It's very helpful for identifying plants you are not quite sure of. I hope that poor little seed pod is full of beautiful seeds for you.

Westbrook, ME(Zone 5a)

LOL - I wondered what happened to that poor pod.

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

How is your arborea doing now CC? Mine does not like Texas heat at all!

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

That poor pod. I hope it will make it. Susie, mine doesn't like the heat either, but I have it in full shade and it hasn't wilted yet. It doesn't bloom heavily, but does bloom. I can't get pods to set though.

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

Mine is in the shade too, and it even had a few blooms a couple of weeks ago. Maybe there's hope for it yet. It should love this fall/winter season if I can keep it alive till then. Right now one is behind a cape honeysuckle and the other is under a big mulberry tree.

Cedar Key, FL(Zone 9a)

The poor peacock pecked pod rippened and I sent the seeds out, there was only 25 seeds though
It has 2 more pods on it
I should harrass someone with sang pollen to send me some so I can try for a Flava

Oh...KEEEEELLLLLLLLLLLLLL

My arboreas are in full sun and doing fine here and it's been a really hot summer. They need tons of water but besides that they're fine.

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

Jeanne, I hate to tell ya this, but 70*F ain't no heat wave! Send them to TX, it was 90 in the shade today!

Westbrook, ME(Zone 5a)

Mine got sunburned really bad when I brought it out this spring. It's doing okay but not great. It spits out a few blooms at a time.

Grass Lake, MI(Zone 5a)

Mine has been in sun and has been doing great. Thank you Shirley!!

Susie, it was 85 here today and was over 100 F. last week on Liz's deck. We are having a really hot summer. I'm melting. I really want temps in the 70's. They're predicting this hot weather for 3 more weeks. The forest fires are burning out of control all over the province and we've had no rain for months. It's getting scary.

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

You forgot to mention the lack of air conditioning too. You guys must be melting during the hot days.

Shirley, I've got fans running in some rooms but nobody here has a/c. We just normally don't ever need it.

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

I'd be miserable. I can work in the heat, but I can't sleep in it. I sure hope it cools down for you guys soon.

Harrisville, MI(Zone 5b)

Same here,I need air moving to sleep, and cool.

It's also really hazy/smoky here from the huge Lonesome Lake fire by Bella Coola. I think there are 109 hectares burning up there.

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

Oh Jeanne, I had forgotten that you guys didn't have air conditioning! You are having a terrible heat wave aren't you? You're hotter than some areas of the southern USA right now! I saw where the Atlanta area is having 70's this week! Wish it would make it here! I'd like some cool temps!

Kannapolis, NC(Zone 7b)

Suzie, I'm closer to Atlanta than you. Wish it would move up my way. LOL

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

Ada, this has been a weird weather year for sure. I talked to my brother and he said it felt like fall. He said they were dry for a while, then it started raining and hasn't stopped! I guess it's either feast or famine when it comes to rain!

Susie, we need rain so badly but I doubt we'll get any for quite a while. I've never seen a summer so hot and dry. We're breaking 100 year old records with temperatures.

Cedar Key, FL(Zone 9a)

You can have some of mine
We got 4 inches yesterday!

CC, we'd gladly take it.

Cedar Key, FL(Zone 9a)

Everything is wet,mushy,muddy,and yucky.......
you can have it!

Matthews, MO(Zone 6b)

Forgot to tell you CC, I got the seeds, and thank you very much!

Cedar Key, FL(Zone 9a)

Hope they grow, they are my firsts!
