Ground/mess cover

Broadview, SK(Zone 3a)

I have a "rockery" along the edge of the hill. Rather than try to remove the rocks from an old foundation and the other rocks on the hillside I have been planting things in amongst them and gradually reclaiming/ transforming an eyesore into a ribbon of color and texture.
I have come to a really messy spot where there are coils of half- buried wire from an old building and would like to cover it rather than dig and dig and dig to get rid of it as there are rocks and stones and more rocks amongst it. DH refuses to have Engleworth?? Ivy anywhere on the place even in the rockery. I like the silver falls Dichondra but it is not Zone 3 hardy.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
Also does anyone know of a silvery leafed sedum with pink or coral flowers? Is it hardy here? Better yet does anyone have seeds or cuttings?

silver is so subjective that I don't know but I will take some pics of my sedums and post so that you could see the colors. If there is something you like I think I could divide a chunk

I don't ....I only have a green needle leafed one in a hanging pot.

Here is one sedum that is not silver at all but I love it the best of all of mine

Here is one that has a sort of grayish tone to the green

Both those are wonder.... what can we trade for a clump of each? I would not be able to decide if I had to choose only one. What color do they flower?
Do you want to email me direct?

I will have to research when is the best time to divide and how. And will get back to you. Meanwhile you could email me your snail mail address.

apparently it is possible to propagate with a leaf cutting and I should try this. Otherwise division should be done in the spring so I will keep this in mind for you for next year. If the leaf thing works I will let you know.
