Looking forward to seeing your blooms Don!

Please take some scenic pictures of your yard this summer, as well ... it still amazes me what you have accomplished in the land of wheat. :)

Tropicman - which one is this Leonotis leonurus ?

Here's my L. menthifolia doing it's thing. I love the way they blow in the wind and they always elicit comments from visitors to the garden.

Mine are Leon. I didn't know of these other forms. Happenstance I live Sac. Where did you get your plant?

Bushland, TX(Zone 6a)

Happy those are the large ones, the leonurus, btw how tall are yours?
Mine is about 6 ft now and just starting to bloom.

Northern California, CA

Mine is in its second season and is pushing 5' tall. The specs on these say something like 2' I think, can't remember for sure. I prune it hard a couple of times during the season to get it to bush up and rebloom. This variety doesn't get woody and retains the foliage all the way to the ground. It is evergreen here and looks nice even without the flowers in the winter garden.

monterey - I can't remember for sure, but I think I got it at the UC Botannical Garden plant sale in early 2003. I have since seen L. menthifolia at several upscale nurseries here in the Bay Area.

Happy I grew this one from seed, that I got from badseed back in february. So in just 3 months,it has grown 6 ft,thats 2ft a month!Yes it is a very pretty plant too!

Mine had flowers all winter. Then it stopped blooming and died . I will get another one . It probley needed food or more water.I know more about their care, I did love that plant. Happenstance have you ever gotten anything from Potrero Gardens in the City? When I go to Bodega Bay I always look to the South when I head in to Vallejo, like I am going to see you!
