Overkill for sure!!!

Medford, NJ(Zone 6b)

Today is one of those days when there is just too much stuff... Ever have one of those days? My favorite part of my garden is my little moss garden. Sometimes less is more.

I'm just overrun with plants.

Gorgeous! I'll be right there, have a glass of tea by the pool,I saw a wheelbarrow of soil,I'll give you a hand,LOL!!

Medford, NJ(Zone 6b)

I need some help. I even have tea. Better yet, I have some great wine. Going to pour me a glass right now.

See those potted plants, I move them around weekly. I think I'm getting a little loopy. It's ashame, my house is a pit and all I'm worried about is my yard. LOL...

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

I'll trade you!! Love all of your garden areas, even the pots. Everything looks great Kristi. I don't worry about my house at all in the summer. My time is best spent outside....working or just watching. Can't wait to see pictures of your place in another month or so. It will be even better, I'm sure.

Westbrook, ME(Zone 5a)

Kristi, you sound like me! My problem is I get all these plants without whithout thinking of where to put them. I have to move 3 to plant one... Now what do I do with these 3? If i would fix the beds first... and then go plant shopping I'd be so much better off. But nope... I plant shop & start seeds all winter long. Now I'm totally overwhelmed!

Your place looks great. You have an artful eye and the "more" looks just as good as the "less"! I wish I was talented. I don't know how you keep up with little ones to take care of too.

Medford, NJ(Zone 6b)

Thanks guys... Me too Shirley. Except I don't worry about the house year round. You'd think in the winter it would look a little better. Heck no. Still a pit.

Sue your very talented. I've seen pictures of your yard. It's beautiful.
I stopped doing the winter sowing this season. I would be overrun come spring. Never would get everything planted. I'm even doing good with buying this season. I did get a little crazy buying annuals, oh and then there was the Bluestone sale, and the Wayside sale.... LOL However, I've got all that planted so that doesn't count, right?

I do a lot of my gardening when the girls are in the pool. They do help also. Jennifer likes to pull weeds. Emily likes to pot things up. They both LOVE to cut flowers as well. I never fuss at them about it. It's sweet to see them bring in fresh flowers a couple times a week.

The perennials don't take any extra care. Other then watering or potting up, the beds are pretty low maint. Of course I'm always moving things around in them too. Making more work for myself. But I really do enjoy it. I'd rather be outside then in. Well, maybe not today.

Columbia, SC(Zone 8a)

I do the same thing. Mine went from sparce to nice to over-planted. I'm trying to cut back some of the plants that have finished. I know they would do better if they weren't so crowded. Not just the brugs (of which I have MANY (which are not yet blooming)) but the other things too.

Grass Lake, MI(Zone 5a)

Ellicott City, MD(Zone 7a)

Newcastle, ON(Zone 5a)

Love your little moss garden.
I am attracted to moss..
We had a tree come down at work..and I brought home a piece of the limb that was covered in moss..I told them..this would look great in the garden.

Tonasket, WA(Zone 5a)

Datdog, your garden areas look just great to me. I think more is better because then the weeds can't get as good a hold!!!! At least that is what i always hope. Donna

San Antonio, TX(Zone 9a)

It all looks beautiful, including your little girl. It's been so hot here that all my pot plants already look as if they are on their last legs. Sure wish our summers weren't so hot.

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

You would die if you saw my courtyard Kristi. You can't even walk anymore. Totally out of control. It is a disease. Oh well, at least it is a colorful disease! I love your yard.

Austin, TX(Zone 8b)

Beautiful gardens! All the replies today make me feel better about my messy house and overcrowded patio and flowerbeds! In Texas we have a strong incentive to stop buying and planting things after May or mid-June because it gets SO hot and humid here you can't comfortably go outside, and it's too stressful for the new plants. However, that does not always stop me!

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

Hey Kristi, we'd like an update, lol. We want to see if you have any grass left.
I am just as bad as the rest of you guys, but I'm trying to be good this year and not buy new plants till I plant the one's I've got.

Cedar Key, FL(Zone 9a)

Its gorgeous!
