At Terry's suggestion, I am removing my unrelated remarks.

So perfect in every way, the lily itself and your photo is all so well balanced.

Yes, that second photo is very nice, too. Seems that mice or something eat my lily bulbs...they disappear over the winter.

Thanks, Joanne! Lilies are my favorite flower. I'm working on gathering enough of a collection to have some in bloom from June thru August.

Susan--could be squirrels especially in your area. They love to dig 'em up!

How is your luck with Orientals, langbr? I love em but definitely not as easy for me, I even have them hilled up to promote better drainage. I have a white lily blooming that reminds me of the Easter Lily but very fine foliage and taller but so fragrant. I can certainly understand your love for lilies, I have a good number myself.

Well I'll find out this summer hopefully! I put in a couple of Orienpet hybrids this spring and they are very tall and a couple have blooms developing. Next year will be the real test I suppose, but I intend to add more and some trumpets this fall. I'm making my list already and will narrow it down by August for Sept. planting. I've got about a dozeon Asiatics right now and will add more of those for sure. They seem to fill a bloom void I have for this time of year (rainy & hot)
