I found this incredible site while looking for a source for Hurricane Lilies. All thoughts of lilies left my mind while I explored your beautiful gardens. I decided I just had to join in the fun. I don't have a camera I know how to use just now, but I do have a brand new grandson, (first one) so I am sure I will be taking pictures real soon, maybe I can snap a few of my garden as well and post them here.
Gotta go look around some more.

Hey y'all from the mountains of northeast Georgia
Welcome Jane! This is a wonderful place! All kinds of great info, garden talk, even people talk and support. I hope you like it here as much as I do! (and lucky you - we have alot of frequenters from Georgia).

Hi Jane,
Welcome from Kentucky! Have fun in the garden.

jane - a big hello from new york. welcome
A great big Oregon welcome. Did you ever find your hurricane lilies? I know it's really easy to get distracted here and forget how you got here! It might be too late to warn you that this place is addictive!
Thank you all for your warm welcome.
No MaryE, I did not find my hurricane lilies. The thread that enticed me here was out of date. Yes, it's too late to warn me that DG is addictive. How will I buy plants if I lose my job?
I have a lot of different plants in my garden thanks to the overenthusiastic landscaper that we hired to help with our unsightly yard; but I am beginning to think I might want to start collecting certain plants, like lilies.
All the gorgeous pictures I see here only make that craving worse.

Hi Jane and welcome from the west coast of Calif. This is an additive garden site, and you will learn lots of info and gather many new flowers for your gardens.

Welcome from Utah's canyonlands, Jane. Warning! DG can be hazardous to other occupations such as housework, and so helpful with any gardening questions.
I have already learned a lot from this website. I now know the name of a beautiful shrub in my garden thanks to the trees and shrubs forum. I learned that four o'clocks kill Japanese Beetles. I learned that day lilies have names. The list goes on and on.
I am an avid quilter and cross stitcher as well as working full time (until they boot me for spending all my time here) so I am unfamiliar with the term housework. But now that you mention it I think my husband has used the term once or twice in a plaintive voice.

Welcome from Iowa. You will love it here.
Welcome, Jane...I love your humorous approach to life!! Blends well with a lot of us here in the Garden! Don't forget to join us Tuesday night for the Chat Room...7 PM EDT. Meet lots of DG's. Jo
Another Iowa welcome here. Have fun exploring DG!
Hope you enjoy it here at Dave's Garden! If you like it as much as I do, you'll be hooked for life. :) It's a great place to learn and share.
Thanks again for all your warm welcomes, I already love it here. I have even traded a plant already, (or at least I mailed a shrub Saturday and am looking for one in the return mail sometime this week). I missed the chat room last Tuesday, maybe this week if it rains.
What I really want to do is get a camera and start posting pictures. I love all the pictures posted by everyone else, and would love to show off the parts of my garden that are looking good. (I would have to crop any that show my "lawn" because it is all weeds.)
I may post a picture of my new grandson, too. He is so adorable. I plan to start a little garden for him that has no thorns or poisonous plants, maybe a few cute little concrete critters. I will call it Ulric's Garden.
Look for me in some of the other forums. I have picked out some favorites: Water Gardens, Container Gardens, Trees and Shrubs, Day Lilies.
