This is a photo of what I thought was Merrima and I planted it almost two years ago.. this is the first bloom. I don't know what species it is, because it is white with a pink center.

Gourd, I am confused. I thought that merrima tuberosa was a synonym for ipomea tuberosa. That they were one and the same: hawaiin woodrose. That you and I are already growing. No?

Hi rylaff,
No, Merrima is Yellow and the Hawiian woodrose is lavender with the leaves like these up here. I don't know what I have here, this one is white. Also, the ones I planted this year died all of a sudden, so I don't know what they would have been, they did have kind of the same leaves, but they grew a whole lot faster.. I have been trying to identify this, it's making me crazy, every year I plant the same thing over agian, and i am looking for the yellow one..lol.. it is kind of funny.

I had three or four seeds and they had all germinated, but the heatwave we had just zapped them.

Gourd, this is what the leaves look like of the one that has yellow flowers. Note how smooth the leaf edges are.

Oh no, mine doesnt' look like that.. those probably were the ones that the sun ate up. What is it that I have then? I will post it on the ID forum. Back to begging for seeds..lol.

Gourd,
to be clear, you said
"Bower vine, green leaves pink flower" are you referring to Clerodendrum splendens?
Let me know

Gourd, do you have seeds for the one in your first picture?? if so i have the wood rose seeds. i only have 5 left but you are welcome to them.

the picture up top is probably merrima disecta. which i would kill for some seeds. the ones i had bit the dust. caterpillers.

i have a few tuberose seeds left. which are really big black and fuzzyy. about the size of a acorn for size comparrison

the merrima is also called a wood rose and is yellow. the leaves look like marijannia leaves like the pic above. mine hasnt bloomed yet at all. growing like crazy but no blooms.

merrima disecta has the same seeds but smaller i mean smaller in size. about the size of a big pea

let me know. i might have a couple of wholly ones left too. i will look. email me. will be back on later. Marie Imzadi
