Is this spiral ginger going to bloom?

If so, it will be the first time for me. I planted it two years ago.

Looks like you have yourself a bloom!!!
It looks like costus spicatus aka indianhead ginger, is that what it is supposed to be??? Mine blooms every year, although, you are a little ahead of me this year.

I believe that is what it is. This will be the first year it has bloomed. Yippee. How much longer before it actually blooms?

It looks really close. Once the bract is formed, then the blooms will come from the bract. The first year mine bloomed the bract was smaller about 1 to 1.5 inches.
Congratulations!!!
Post a picture when the indian gets his feathers!!
LOL!!
