Gold Traum

Harrisville, MI(Zone 5b)

Not sure if that spelling is right.
Anyway here it is tonight.
Every bloom has 7 tendrils,is that normal?

Lima, OH(Zone 5a)

Fantastic! That is something with all those points.

Harrisville, MI(Zone 5b)

I like GT,always has nice firm waxy blooms.and great scent.

Denver, CO(Zone 5b)

Love the waxy blooms! Im sure in your heat and humidity you need the firmer blooms.

SE Arky, United States(Zone 8a)

Great photo and absolutely beautiful, waxy blooms, I've not had one of those. Gosh, there is so much for me to learn and to see...

Kannapolis, NC(Zone 7b)

Great looking blooms, Root.

Victoria, BC(Zone 8b)

Beautiful Root!

Tonasket, WA(Zone 5a)

Root it is just beautiful, and a great photo, but why is it called Gold Traum, when it is pink and least on my nonitor it is pink, altho light. Donna

Harrisville, MI(Zone 5b)

Donna,it should change color today,if there is still a bloom on it,we got punished with wind last night.

Brown City, MI(Zone 5a)

You take wonderful pictures Root.

Both the photography and the Brug are wonderful.

Harrisville, MI(Zone 5b)

Thanks T_C,I am glad I took pictures yesterday,it looks like a bomb went off last night,we really got clobbered.

Harrisville, MI(Zone 5b)

Trop Sun has nice color today.

Root, looking at your Trop Sun, and all those beautiful blooms, makes me wonder about one of my common brugs that has multiple trunks, huge leaves and is slow to bud and bloom. Ya think it would help if I took off all the leaves, up to the Ys, which are about 4 or 5 feet from the ground. TIA!!!

Harrisville, MI(Zone 5b)

I would Sherry,if you want tree form, this one had 4 trunks,I removed them and straightened it up.

Ellicott City, MD(Zone 7a)

Absolutely gorgeous blooms!

SE Arky, United States(Zone 8a)

Root, thanks, your encouragement means lots!! I have a half moon just like yours on the new cedar, right, fence. I cannot wait to do my grooming and hopefully, tomorrow will be the day...

Herbstein, Germany(Zone 5a)

The flowers are beautiful. Did they survive the storm?

Harrisville, MI(Zone 5b)

Yes Monika,GT came through fine,GQ got beat up,and poor P&C looks like a shredded white, but all is well here,I am more worried about my babies, and they are all doing good, they say we are going to get hit again tonight,so cross your fingers.
I have a young Dawn Redwood up front, when I looked out last night, the wind had it right on the ground, you would never know it today.

Herbstein, Germany(Zone 5a)

I will keep my fingers crossed for you. These storms are terrible!!! Why dont you support the brugs with rods, posts or poles or whatever you have. You would worry less during a storm.

Harrisville, MI(Zone 5b)

I have a 6 ft fence,so the wind is not as bad as Brugie has,she is on a hill,I am going to look at stakes today at HD.

Vancleave, MS(Zone 8b)

Beautiful Root. Glad you had no bad damage

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

Do all Gold Traum have 9 points, Root? It looks so pretty. How dark does it get? I usually do not like neckie ones but that one is sure nice. I just love the shape of the corolla as it arches down to the great skirt.

So sorry you all are having such a tough time. You would think you could have a few weeks strung together of decent weather. Not too hot, not too cold, not to wet and not to windy!

Barnesville, GA(Zone 8a)

That IS a beauty Doc! I'd like to hear more about GT also.
Is the scent regular brug or different? Has it turned yet?

Kell, what in the heck is a "neckie one"? One without tendrils?

Harrisville, MI(Zone 5b)

Here is Gold Traum tonight.

Wow on the TS. Can't wait for mine to bloom

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

Great pics. I got home late tonight but had a TS about to open. Now after looking at your hot pics, I must go out and look! LOL

Tonasket, WA(Zone 5a)

Root, your brugs are looking great and wonderful pictures of them. TS has really nice color, and Gold Traum is such a pretty delicate color in your closeup. Donna

SE Arky, United States(Zone 8a)

I love your Tropical Sunset!! Is that a true, bright orange - I really love the color and it's such a pretty pic!!!!

Harrisville, MI(Zone 5b)

Thanks Donna!
Sherry yes this is true color,I really like it.

SE Arky, United States(Zone 8a)

Thanks, Root! I just think I might have to have a Tropical Sunset, as well as a HB...I don't have a true orange, mine are pale and common...I want a fancy one!!!
