Cranesbill, Hardy Geranium 'Brookside' (Geranium hybrid)

What are you shooting with and what were the settings on this? Please.

It's a Nikon Coolpix 2500. I didn't do anything fancy for the picture... just had it set for close ups with normal image quality.

Do you have the chrome setting ? Was it in the sun? I had the sun behind the flower and it darkened the center of the flower. I used a 2 f stop increase to brighten it.That's a great shot for a 2500 . I want to get the coolpix 5700. I have a Fuji S5000 now. See ya!

Are you sure they call this a geranium The flower does not look right. I would like to have a cutting or two of these beautiful plants to add to my collection of Geraniums I have pink, white and blue. with these I could arrange a Red White and Blue Geranium garden.

The flower above your post is a Passion Flower. I just used it as an example. Yes! The top flower is a geranium.

Montery, I don't think I have a chrome setting. I'm not sure what it is - LOL! If I remember right this picture was on a bright day but not in direct sun when I took it. I don't do so well in bright sunlight.

It's a killer. The wash-out effect is bad! The chrome setting makes the colors come up. This shot was in the shade. I took it with chrome and shade white balance.
