You know it Liz! gotta get back out there for a few, blowing those winter blues out of my head, nights like this make it worth it.

Oklahoma City, OK(Zone 7b)

It's a beautiful night here in OK too, Root. I can't imagine what it would be like to have so many brugs for aromatherapy, but I'm gonna make it my quest! They are lovely. What kind is the pink one in the first pic?

Barnesville, GA(Zone 8a)

Nice nite indeed!
So whacha got blooming, Doc?
They all look purdy.

Victoria, BC(Zone 8b)

They look lovely Root, Maybe you should be doing your bud watching outdoors for tonight! LOL

Herbstein, Germany(Zone 5a)

Your pictures are beautiful rooty! I love those nights, when the fragrance of the brugs is all over.

Denver, CO(Zone 5b)

How wonderful! I know you will enjoy! Its all blooms for the rest of the summer now rooty!

Spokane, WA(Zone 5b)

Sure wish it was in my neighborhood! It's been raining (more like drizzilin, so not too bad) all day long, but now the wind is blowing about 40 mph+ gusts. Power's gone off twice tonight, and is still out across the street. My brugs are in a place outside that gets the least amount of wind, so hopefully they will be ok. They've been doing pretty good outside, all 5 of them, despite this nasty and unusual weather.

Matthews, MO(Zone 6b)

Wow Root those are looking so good! How is Arborea doing? I have to start with new plants! The mice got in the root balls of mine and they looked terrible! I forgot to tell you, my Giant EE looks great!!!!! The other bulb, is up about 4 inches (and the talk of the greenhouse).

Kannapolis, NC(Zone 7b)

Looking good, Root. I love to be outside when mine are blooming.

GOD's Green Earth, United States(Zone 8b)

So do I Monika, this is the second day open.

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Looking good. Can't wait to have more than four or five blooms open at one time. I'm ready for a tree full. Wish I had your L'Amour bloom here though. Wouldn't complain about "just one".

Say Doc, you and I seem to have the love of scent in common, please keep me informed of your opinions, K?

I see you have TS and it does look similar to GQ, are they similar in scent too? I seem to find a 'juicy-fruit' fragrance in my GQ during the day, but it smells more like DS at nite.

Got a favorite scent so far?
I love my Star, but I'm used to it and prejuidiced, lol!

I'm so jealous of all your blooms!

Harrisville, MI(Zone 5b)

Without a doubt Arborea for scent,it is just my Fav.
I will go out and give GQ and TS a sniff.

Harrisville, MI(Zone 5b)

I am going to have to pass on GQ,I will give her to the first interested person that comes in the yard.
I am looking at Scent, bloom size, angle of bloom, and duration of bloom.
GQ did have one turn a nice dark pumpkin, but it was after the bloom would not open anymore. And the scent was light.
Edit to say it did have a nice Vanilla tang this afternoon.

I know you are having a blast with all those beautiful brugs, Root. Hard work has it's rewards, huh??!! Yesterday, I noticed some action with one of my buds, and this am, I could not believe my eyes!!! My FIRST ever, even to see in person, a pink blossom. Do you know which one it is???
Pink in Arky and loving every second of it!!!

Root you've got some lovely blooms. And an obvious passion for brugs. It's so easy to get the brug bug! Your yard, I'd like to come and just sit on the deck and watch your brugs grow. Too bad I'm so far away.

Sherrylike: I too got to see my first ever real live pink bloom this week, and it's still blooming and loaded with buds. It's so exciting.

Thanks, Linda, I am just thrilled, this is so much fun!! I'm in zone 8a, so I suppose we have similar weather. I'd be A-okay if I could find out what is chewing my leaves and find a cure. SherryLike

Root, was that an acanthus in the bg of one of your pics? I have a neighbor that has one that's beautiful. Are they difficult to start? Do you start from cutting/seed????

Harrisville, MI(Zone 5b)

Yes it is,I am going to try to collect seeds this fall.

Vancleave, MS(Zone 8b)

Everything looks great Root. I'll trade humidity with ya lol. Ours is so bad it slaps you in the face when you walk out the door.
