Very pretty color and nice photo. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks, htop! It's a little "blurrier" than it seemed when I was editing it, so I may try to get a sharper image.

You are quite welcome. The 3 blooms in the foreground appear to be happily dancing in the wind. I smiled when I saw them. Sometimes my photos appear very sharp and then when I upload them, they appear a bit fuzzy (especially when reds are involved). I think it has to do with the color spectrum that is available on the net which cannot handle some hues. Your photo looks fine to me. :o)

Is this the same as yours....

Nope, it's not..... sorry...

vegmm, yours looks more like a garden phlox (Phlox paniculata) - we have a great ID forum available if you're not sure.

Pretty blue color on those blooms, though!

Thanks Terry...I was able to find that out...I am still learning how to get around this forum...But I will get it ...I am sorry if I posted the picture in the wrong place.

vegemm, it looks like plumbago to me: http://plantsdatabase.com/go/414/index.html

Terry, I love these cynoglossum, but they don't seem to do so well in our wet climate. One year I had them in a pot with a rich orange calendula, and it was quite striking.

Weezin, I think your combination was my inspiration for trying them (you posted a pic of them ;o) They didn't do well for me last year, but we went from cold & wet to hot & dry and they didn't stand much of a chance.

These are volunteers so my expectation level for how they perform is rather low - I don' t have them massed together, so I can just enjoy each plant wherever one pops up ;o)

Terry, having intentionally started thousands and thousands of plants, I've come to the conclusion that the volunteers always seem to do the best, whether tag-alongs in starter trays or those that pop up in the beds outside. Must be some Murphy's Law concerning that one!
