This particular photo is not Hoya kerrii. H. kerrii is known for its heart-shaped leaves and these are not. It is, indeed, a very attractive Hoya, but the flowers aren't right either. I'm including a picture of H. kerrii flowers - it's not a terrific picture, but it shows the deep burgandy, compact flowers which drip a red sap as they age.

Maybe it's not. But then maybe Selby Botanical Garden has its specimen misnamed. I wouldn't know.

Islandjim, this is not H. kerrii so it must have been mislabled. I'm not sure which Hoya it is so I do ask you to post it in the DG Hoya forum so that it possibly can be ID'd and you can move it to the correct DB entry.

Could be a number of things...H. verticillata comes to mind. It is definitely not H. kerrii.

I have heard that Selby is notorious for mislabeled Hoyas....

Cheers and Aloha,

According to Chris Burton the one in the photo is a
H. subquintuplinervis x Unidentified sp. Bankok-4 Hybrid.

Personally I prefer the name H. kerrii (a lot easier to pronounce!) but Baa moved the image and I renamed the thread ;o)

Got the message from Baa, thanks folks.
Terry, I'm still trying to untangle my tongue from that one LOL.
