Anyone Know about Mallard Ducks??

Au Gres, MI(Zone 5a)

I have a Domestic type Male Mallard Duck, they are bigger then the wild ones. I did have a female last year also, but she disappeared, and all we found were feathers. My guess is a critter got her. Webster as he is called has survived the winter and when the spring floods came, another male Mallard came into the picture. Keeping in mind, these ducks really can not fly, as they are too fat. My question is, do two males get along together. These two are inspearatable. They go from pond to pond on our property, walking across the field to get to the ponds. Its almost like they are a pair. In addition, Webster's featheres are looking like he is now a female......Any comments???
