Asiatic bloom first may/june non fragrant. Oriental usually bloom june/july very fragrant.

ATiger Lily is not the same as an Asiatic and I am told you should not plant Tigers with other lily's because the Tiger's can spread disease. Which I do believe this because I planted some new Tigers right next to Asiatics last year and the Asiatic's leaves are browning at the tips and the Tigers look awesome!

Oriental Lilies tend to be fragrant, Asiatic Lilies generally are not. Asiatic Lilies are more forgiving, easier to grow. I've not had much success with Orientals in my hot humid zone.

Tiger lilies are a whole 'nother thing. You shouldn't plant Tiger lilies in the same area with other lilies, since they may harbor a virus that is deadly to other lilies, but harmless to Tiger lilies.

The foliage may look similar, but the plants are not the same.

That's my take on it, I'm sure someone who knows more will come along.

My Oriental Lilies were beautiful for the last two years, this year, they don't look very good. The stems are small and thin. Any suggestions? I would appreciate your help, I'm new at this.
