Hello.
It's me again looking for a trade or S.A.S.E.
As you might know it's not very easy to find decent tropics in Finland. You might find something from the capital but here in Lappeenranta it's not easy. Or if you find some they cost you a lot.
I have already got many tropics from members of DG but now when it's spring time it would be the best time to do some trades.
If you have some Elephant Ears, Cannas, Heliconias, rare coleus, Bird of Paradise, Cassias, Bananas, Palms or any other Tropical seedlings or cuttings please let me know. We can do a trade or S.A.S.E. I have many, many seeds and maybe some plants to trade. Specially Passiflora cuttings.
I'm sure when I find something out.

Looking for a tropical trade! OR S.A.S.E!
Anyone?
I am not sayingt this 'cause I would have hurry, I just dont want that this will be lost.
Mitjo,
You have mail
Mitjo - How long does the mail take from US to you? I would like to trade, but I worry that the plants may die due to prolonged shipping... What is your experience with mailing times? Julie
I thought we couldnt mail plants out of the country !
Correct me if I'm wrong.
Yes. Plants can be mailed out of the country. Laws vary by country, and depend on the plants. Many require phytos, and other documentation, and some only require declaration. Some are also sent on a "here it comes. hope it doesn't get checked basis"
Either way, they can be sent legally. It's up to individuals to do so.
Buriedtreasures. I just got home and read you mail. Thank you. I will answer soon as possible.
Julie. I have done hundrets of trades to U.S.A and other countrys without having any bigger problems. I have got Geraniums from Michigan, Cactus from Texas, Passifloras from Ohio, Brugmansias from New York etc... Once one of my letters were opened and few Canna seeds were missing but other than everything has gone very well. Mail from U.S.A might take week or week and four days. But once I got mail in four days. It depens but usually it comes pretty fast. And if you pack the plants well they can take it easily, specially now on summer time. Winter time is more difficult but it can be done:D I'll send you mail soon.
Emh48, plants can be mailed from U.S.A to Finland leagally. There are some qualification, but not anything contacting to common Tropical plants.
Mitjo I have cassia seedlings and some unusual coleus and ginger. What kind of passifloras do you have?
Hi Delph.
I have cuttings without roots from these Passifloras:
-P.edulis
-P.mollissima
-P.subpeltata
and maybe one left from:
-P.morifolia

Mitjo,
If you're still interested, I might have a few things that may interest you. I love tropicals and even though I'm kind of starting over with gardeing after my recent move I have SOME things. This is what I have;
Giant White shrimp plant (rooted cutting)
Allamanda "Cherries Jubilee" (rooted cutting)
Allamanda "Hendersonii" (rooted cutting)
Firecracker bush (rooted cutting)
Creeping fig (rooted cuttings)
A few different types of cannas (named or un-named, not sure)
various caladiums (bulbs)
Epiphylium cuttings (un-named) (rooted cutting)
Maybe a rooted un-named yellow and fragrant brug (depending on how shipping works out for it)
I'm also in the process of rooting some different types of hibiscus. I'll have to wait and see how that goes.
Though I would be eager to trade, I would have to see what it takes to actually send to you. I would be interested in cuttings from both of these;
-P.mollissima
-P.subpeltata
Hi Bugfreak.
You've got mail:)
