What's Up with this Caladium?

When this one emerged it looked different from the others... what is this thing? The bulbs all looked the same, but this sure doesn't look like the other caladiums.

It's a seed pod forming. Don't ask me what to do with it because I really don't know, LOL!

I think the "stalk" on top has the pollen for the "pod" below.

Some people find them "interesting" as it is the flower of the Caladium. I always take them off as soon as I see them....they take nutrients away from the plant.

LOL Melissa! I have one too on my brandy wine! I had NO idea, and was gonna wait for a bit to see what it did. I think I will let mine form.
