OatMeal Pie Any One...

Our friend visited Belterra Casino over the weekend and commented on their Buffet where they served OatMeal Pie. Having never heard of it I found several recipes. Enjoy!

Oatmeal pie recipe
Try this tempting oatmeal pie recipe to spice up your meals!
1 uncooked pie shell
2 eggs, beaten
2/3 c melted margarine
1/4 tsp salt
2/3 c sugar
2/3 c corn syrup
2/3 c uncooked oats

Mix eggs, sugar, margarine, syrup and salt. Add uncooked oats. Mix well. Pour into uncooked pie shell and bake at 350 degrees until brown.

AMISH OATMEAL PIE

1 1/2 cups milk
3 eggs, lightly beaten
3 tbs butter/margarine, melted
2/3 cups rolled oats
1 1/3 cups of flaked coconut, plus additional for topping.
1 9 or 10 inch deep dish pie crust, unbaked

Preheat oven -- 425. Combine milk, eggs, oats, butter, brown sugar, and coconut in large bowl. Mix thoroughly with a wire wisk. Pour into pie shell and sprinkle with coconut. Bake for 10 minutes, reduce heat 350 degrees and bake for additional 30 minutes or until knife inserted comes out clean. Good warm or chilled.

Chocolate Oatmeal Pie
This pie will keep them guessing. Just what is in this
pie? Makes 1 - 9 inch pie (8 servings).

2 eggs
1 cup white sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup light corn syrup
2 tablespoons butter, melted
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup flaked coconut
1/2 cup quick cooking oats
1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips
1 recipe pastry for a 9 inch
single crust pie

Directions
1 Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
2 Beat eggs until thick and lemon colored (about 3
minutes). Continue beating while adding sugar, salt, corn
syrup, butter or margarine, and vanilla. Stir in coconut,
oats, and chocolate. Pour filling into pie shell.
3 Bake for 50 to 55 minutes. Cool completely before serving.

Amish Oatmeal Pie
1 cup sugar
3 tbsp flour
1 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp salt
4 eggs
1 1/2 tbsp melted butter
1 cup light corn syrup
1 tsp grated orange rind
1 tsp vanilla
1 cup quick oats
1 unbaked 9 inch pie shell

Mix sugar, flour, cinnamon and salt. Beat 4 eggs until frothy. Add
dry mixture. Add corn syrup, melted butter, orange rind, vanilla and
the quick oats. Mix well. Pour into shell. Bake at 350 F for
45 minutes.
