How overwhelmingly beautiful!!

Happenstance, you're an expert...=).......how do you make yours bloom so fully? My 'Honeycomb' and 'White Profusion' just sort of imp along, with small spikes that fizzle right o-u-t.......=(

Advise??

I'm certainly no expert, but sounds like yours could use a shot of some fertilizer and it does help to prune these harshly. Makes them bush up and the shot of fertilizer every couple of months should keep the heads from turning into mini spikes.

I was just thinking of you Candy yesterday, wondering where you went. I haven't seen you around lately! Hope all is well!

You know what, Happens? I DID cut back both of my rangy looking butterfly bushes and the foliage looks better already--just like you've recommended, much bushier. No blooms yet, but I can wait.........gave them some Epsom and Bloom Booster today to help though......;-)

LOL Kell.......

....wondering where you went.

You were wondering where I went? You appear to have moved to an unknown Zone 9b since I last saw you!

Just been busy working on the plans for the new house and watering! I know you can relate to the constant watering routine.

MK - that should do the trick! Let us know how they do and send pics when you get some blooms.

I bet you are so busy with your new house plans. I could never do it. You are so organized, Candy. I know it will be a work of art. Do you have a progress thread lyet? I would love to follow along from my little place in Unknown.

So who moved me to Unknown? LOL. I sure didn't. I wonder what is up with that. Maybe I need to change my password if I only I knew it. LOL.

Those big graders should be out there sometime in the next few weeks hopefully........if they don't start soon, I may just have to take my trusty shovel and start moving dirt around. :-)

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

LOL, I bet you would do that!!

Am wondering when is the best time to prune harshly? I live in Southern Cal. Just came back from OR. and bought my first plant.
