Off to the barn early again to check on my mother goat and two babies. I had to put them in a stall by themselves to keep the other pesky critters away from them. At first I thought the mom wasn't doing so well, but I brought her some sheep and goat pellets and fresh clover. I also helped her up and she looked perkier. I still gave the babies supplement, but when I left they were trying to nurse from mom. I certainly hope she can take care of her babies. I thought I had retired from bottle babies for the year.
My old mare that someone gave me is doing so well. I think her arthritis is doing better with the warmer weather. She likes her treat of corn and paws the ground in the spot I feed her. She gets mad if she doesn't get it. She is so fat and sleek now. So different than when she came here. I think the two pony geldings are going to live at my Granddaughter's for awhile. My son in law is working hard on fixing a pony cart up that someone gave him. Wish I had a paint stripper on my compressor so we could get the paint off easily. My SIL wanted to only take one pony. I don't think one pony would be very happy. They are such buddies. So he agreed to take two. Hope they get along with the llamas there.
I am so excited about the possibility of meeting NJ this week.
Hubbies 50 today. Now I think I can really call him my old man even though I am older than him.
Blessings to All.
