I have a strange and basic question...where does the flower bud come from? I stare and search and stare some more at my brugs every day, hoping to see a tiny bud that is forming. But I see nothing! Should I be looking at the middle of the new growth, the side of it, or even a lateral growth spot??
I know I'll notice it when I see one, I guess I'm just curious for now. Does anyone have a picture of a bud just forming?
where do I look??
Great picture of the buds, Shelly.
lol thanks Ada, I know there are alot more on her, but the sleep position made it hard to find the buds.
art_n_garden, have you checked, if your brugs have formed a Y at the sprout top? The Y marks the end of the growing region, in which no buds are formed and the beginning of the flowering region. The leaves of the flowering region are smaller and the leaf blades are asymetrical on the leaf stalk.
Shelley, this is a excellent picture. Could you post another one, showing the Y, so that art_n_gardens know, what I mean?

Thank you Shelly, Ada and Monika. So no flowers are to be had prior to the Y? None of mine have Y-ed yet, so I guess maybe I should be looking for that instead. And thank you for the picture, that does help!
It seems like I have been seeing pictures of seedlings and cuttings blooming when there's barely a foot of plant. So those have Y-ed already and I just didnt notice? Yall are so helpful, thank you!
