welcome mat

Hello from Millersburg, Pa. I am an old gardener who just found this net site. I grow tomatoes, peppers, etc. Also have some beautiful hybrid daylillies I grew from seed from a hybridizer in Connecticut-(I think), Got some beautiful flowers out of it. I also grow the big dahlias from seed. It is easier for me to do this than to dig and save the tubers.(And you get flowers just like the named tubers) I started some stevia seed this spring but know nothing about them. I have about 6 plants 1-1/2" tall. Need help on these from a veteran grower. Thanks to all.

Hi se_eds. Welcome to Daves. Sounds like you grow some great stuff. Have you used the stevia before. I hear it is really sweet. Hope you will show us pictures when your plants start blooming.

Welcome from another Iowan, se_eds. Enjoy this wonderful garden site! Perhaps the Vegetable forum or General Discussion forum would be the place to ask about growing stevia. I'm sure someone will come along and have some advice for you. :)

Welcome to Dave's se_eds I don't know nuttin' about stevia but do know this is a good place to find out what you need. Hey, somebody help the good lady. All I can offer is coffee, and it'd be cold by the time you got here to Utah - but I'll reheat it if you show up.

Welcome se_eds! To me, growing from seeds is a lot of work! Or maybe I'm just not that good at it. This is the first year I've grown things from seed and I think I've got a lot to learn! Maybe you can share your knowledge with us.
