lost one of mine.

i lost my littlest one today. i tried everything i could to save it but no luck. it was a cutting given to me and i rooted it and it grew one leaf.never anything else. i fertlized it and put it in partial shade and keep it out of the strong light. it was in a pot bigger then it was. what might i have done wrong.

sad over the lose of a baby.

imzadi...I am sorry for your loss...do you think it could have been caused by over-watering? I have read that if it is in a large container...too much water could be at the roots, for too long a time and it can get root rot. I just killed a new hosta this way...I felt very badly about it too.

I am new to brugs also and have to work so hard to not over-water new cuttings.

Goodness, imzadi, I hate it for you!!! I had a limb hit one of my brugs and I ended up with three cuttings, and I lost two, so, I know how your feel. Keep trying, you will succeed, but not every time - there will be failures, but keep truckin', ya know??!!

no actually it only got watered about two times a week due to the fact its at the new house which is 20 minutes away.

the others are in the ground but their leaves are turning yellow but i think its the heat for those.

i babied it to death i guess. it was a pink one . i tried my best with it. oh well will try agian when i find another.

Oh sometimes you try your best but it just can't make it. Only thing to do is try again!
