At the moment, Azaleas and Rhododendrons dominate in the garden. The Brugmansia trees are still recovering from the past two cold weeks.
Not the Brugmansia Trees dominate
I love your gardens Monika, they are truly a site to see! Beautiful!!
Oh my love your flower garden are very so beautiful look so good all the color together.
Such great colors. Do you ever just sit out there? Maybe have a picnic?
Your brugs are sure looking good.
I cannot think of any possible way that could be more beautiful!!!!
What beauty...I could just sit and look at your pictures all day!
Especially today when I am supposed to be getting the indoors of the house ready for company!!! But really, it is just lovely!!!
I love to see your pictures of your garden, anytime!!
Monika, I have your book and am reading it. Thank you for giving so much on the care of brugs in it! It is really helpful to me. A question....just how do you make the extra holes in the year round container? With an electric drill?
Gosh! It looks just absolutely beautiful!! Love you pictures Monika!
OH my.. You got a so BEAUTIFUL garden.... like paradise..
Stunning Monika! Absolutely beautiful
It is all so beautifully cultivated; what a perfect spot! Are the pots halfway in the ground? Did you leave them as trees when you put them in a dark spot for the winter? They form such a nice allee', a joy to behold.
The rodies ,and azaleas are gorgeous!
How long have they been there?
Thank you all for the nice comments.
picturelady, my DH does it with an electric drill.
pollygardening, the pods are in the ground up to the rim. I cut them back to the basic structure. The tree habitus is saved.
CC, I planted the Azaleas and Rhododendrons in 1995. We plan to remove the large firs (all but are Abies) in the fall. This will give much space to replant some of the Azaleas and Rhodis.
So very pretty Monika. Your sure get the best out of your short growing season.
Beautiful, Monika, it takes ones breathe away...thank you for sharing.
Wow, Monika, that is just beautiful. I wish I was there to see it in person.
Me too Ada, Monika beautiful as always! I just wish there wasn't a big body of water and so many miles inbetween us. It looks so peaceful and inviting!
Monika, do you have humming birds in Germany? I bet they'd love those rodies! It looks like a mountain of color. Very beautiful!
Hi Monika...how are you? I've been away for a few days and missed your posts! I love your gardens.....oh and I just can't wait to see all your new brug blooms! LOL Are you getting excited too?
Monika, your yard is a sight to behold. I wish I could be there some time to see it in person. I don't think I would ever spend time in the house if I had something like this to look at every day. Just awesome!!
monika-Thank you so much for sharing your garden with us- it is truly a marvel of the modern world that people half the world away can see the beauty in each other's gardens. I have enjoyed that aspect of joining DG the most. Thanks again for sharing your expertise and beauty with all of us.
Absolutely breathtaking Monika!!
Oh Monica that is an incredible view. You must be in heaven
I am in Awe of this,I will ask you later about which Azaleas and Rhodies you would recommend,I bet you are tired, that is so much work.

Monica your gardens are absolutely wonderful. It's obvious that you work very hard. What a lovely place it would be to just sit and appreciate the beauty. Linda
Is that what heaven looks like?
You are a true artist, Monika...
Somebody please tell me what the name of monika's book is and if I can buy it through a regular bookstore.......
I don't think you will find it in a book store....at least not easily. Calalily, Abutilon, and MaryinLa can get you one. I'm pretty sure that Cala has them on hand. I don't know about Abutilon and Mary.
WS...I think you can buy monikas book through a regular store, but not with the translation. The name of it is:

How lovely Monika - those rodies and azaleas remind me of Turtle Creek in Dallas. I have rodies here in Iowa and they just finished blooming last week. I struggle to get a ladder over them to put up christmas lights each winter and am cutting them all way back to 3' next week so they can begin filling out again and setting their buds for next spring. Thanks for sharing your pictures - so beautiful and relaxing. Love your sidewalk too - the pictures remind me of Thomas Kinkade one of my favorites.
All I can say is WOW, you really are an artist, the composition is beautiful!
Monika, beautiful garden! Your Brugs look like they made it through! :)
Starz - beautiful color on that Rhode! Would love some THAT color! I took some cuttings of light pink ones this spring, 4 out of 5 look good - one of them I don't think is going to make it. It was my first time to do it, with a powdered rooting hormone, so I didn't get my hopes up.
Monkia, thank you for sharing your beautiful garden with us. Can see what you have been doing. Love the color combinations.
Monika, your garden is beautiful. I wish I could grow azaleas and rhodies like that. My soil is tooooo alkaline. I do struggle with a few bur don't look anything like yours. The brug trees look very happy even with your cold weather. I have read the translation of your book and think it will be a great help. It didn't come until the day after i finally got all my seedlings and cuttings planted outside. But will help from now on. Great book, and thanks for sharing your lovely photos with us. Donna
Very pretty, Monika! Thank you for the gorgeous pix - please keep them coming!!! Gretchen
