Afterglow

Lake Toxaway, NC(Zone 7a)

I got this brug from the GA Round-up. Again, I have forgotten the name of the person who gave it to me, perhaps Plant Lady? It hasn't leafed out a great deal, but has this bloom and another. I really love it. There are orange undertones. It is some distance from the sick ones so I'm hoping if their problem is a disease on those posted under the thread "DISASTER" that it won't spread to this one. Hmmm, I think my spousal unit took the picture sideways

ah , well thanks so much gone2seed. Did you get your anti-glare glasses in the mail?
By the way, is this a particularly early bloomer? It's cool here, often in the 50s at night so we usually don't get bloom until late summer or early fall.....
Dave, can you straighten my photo?

LOL, Scooterbug. That is terrific. I hope gone2seed sees this thread again or does anyone else know if this is a particularly early bloomer?

Ozark, AL(Zone 8b)

I don't know about early, being so far south, but it bloomed very young for me. And the fragrance is like that of Seuss, with a big dollap of vanillia added. Wonderful! For sure on my list of keepers and future breeders!

Milton, FL(Zone 8a)

Wood,it blooms early and also at a very young age.It is one of my favorites.
Edited to add,Yes,the glasses arrived in fine shape.I hope they helped.

It's great to know Afterglow has the propensity to bloom early and young. Are there any others out there that you bruggie nuts know that bloom early? We have to wait to nearly September to get any bloom here and then the season is pretty short. It's 55 degress here this morning at 8 a.m......
