Could it be???

I got this cutting a while ago and you all helped me id it. But the funny thing is that I stuck it in a pot in an out of the way spot in my house, watered it a couple of times and kinda forgot about it. Lo' and behold... I didn't even think it had rooted. I just left it there in hopes that someday it would root or rot. Mere

Here's how funny it looks. I AM NOT a rooter. It hardly ever works for me. I am amazed!!! Ya think it'll fall off before it blooms? Mere

Some people have all the luck! Congratulations on your Epiphyllium bloom.

These root very easily without much assistance. Your vine looks pretty thick so your rooted cutting must be from a mature plant. These things can take several years to bloom when young or immature. I think it will bloom for you.

Yeah, the plant I got it from is probably, no joke, 25-30 years old. It's from Oma and Papa's plant they brought back from some vacation. I used to nanny for their grandkids. Mere

Keep a close eye on the bloom because it will bloom one night and be closed when you awaken the next morning!

If you go here http://plantsdatabase.com/go/2443/index.html and click on the link to show all photos, you will see a series of six I posted showing the blooming sequence. Had to stay up late for hours to get them.

Yeah, I remember that about this plant. I don't think it's quite ready yet. I'm gonna give it about another week before I start really looking at it. Can't wait, hang on and soon I'll have a pick of my first bloom! Mere
